Coach Bob Bemis - SF HEAT

We welcome you to find out more about the South Florida HEAT as a social, spiritual, and athletic home.

The South Florida Home Education Athletic Teams was established in 2004. Accredited by the FSHAA soon after, the HEAT was created to make it possible for homeschooled kids to participate and compete against public and private schools.

The South Florida HEAT started with a Track and Field team of about twenty kids in 2005 and now has over 100 athletes. It has grown from one sport to be a multi-sport organization. After Track and Field the South Florida HEAT successfully added Girls’ Volleyball, Boys’ Soccer, Girls’ Soccer, and Cross Country. We have also added Boys’ Baseball, Boys’ Basketball, Swimming, Tennis. This year we have added Cheerleading, Band, and Football!

The goal of the South Florida HEAT is to be a “home for the homeschoolers” not only athletically, but also socially and spiritually.
