Cassie S. (Class of '09)

I am truly thankful for the opportunity I had to be a part of the HEAT family. As a member of HEAT cross-country, soccer, and track, I was blessed to train with the most amazing coach of my athletic career (Coach Bob), as well as wonderful teammates I still call close friends to this day. As a competitive soccer player for eight years, I never had a coach or team leave such an impact on my life as the HEAT and Coach Bob did. Aside from the “practice doesn’t make perfect- perfect practice makes perfect” line coach would tell us that is now engrained in my mind, the HEAT brought my faith to my sport and taught me character on and off the field. I loved every second of calling myself a member of the HEAT, and I cherish every memory of those amazing times.
